The Petawawa River

The Petawawa is a wonderful run of class I, II and III rapids. Start at Cedar Lake or Traverse Lake, and then head downstream to McManus Lake. Rapids such as Crooked Chute, Rollaway Rapids and the Natch offer countless opportunities for great canoeing. The water is warm in July and August and the Petawawa offers great whitewater fun.
We have vans hauling canoes in the area from May through October.
