The Dumoine River
The Dumoine River in Western Quebec flows over 100 km from the Kipawa Highlands down to the Ottawa River. This heritage river offers great whitewater canoeing on foam-flecked rapids, smooth chutes and beautiful lakes fringed with pine and spruce forests. Early Indian tribes paddled this river to hunt and fish, and in more recent times, log drives echoed from its shores. The Dumoine is the last free-flowing tributary of the Ottawa.
