Noir River

The Noir River is a beautiful river which flows from its headwaters in Quebec to the Ottawa River. Compared to the Dumoine, the Noir has the highest running length of rapids, lowest distance of portages and best opportunities to see wildlife. The 5 to 7 day Noir trip will start at Lake Patrice or Farin Lake and paddle approximately 100 km enjoying a beautiful holiday descending the river.

We have vans and club-campers hauling canoes to this area from May through October.
